When installing Qt and CDP2Qt for application development and GUI creation with CDP and Microsoft Visual Studio C++ version 2008, there are a few caveats that need attention.
Installing Qt: Qt comes in a complete package with designer, creator and libs, packed in a installation package from Nokia software.
o Install this but DESELECT MinGW in the first installation dialogue, the rest is OK.
o Edit your environment varables, namely:
         CDPBase=C:\Program Files\CDP Developer
         CDPBase_Develop=C:\Program Files\CDP Developer
         Path=%PATH%;c:\qt\2009.01\qt\bin;c:\qt\2009.01\qt
         QMAKESPEC=win32‐msvc2008
         QTDIR=c:\qt\2009.01
o Rebuild Qt with Visual Studio C++ by following the directions in the CDP2Qt doc file, page 6.
Install the CDP2Qt package from ICD
o Rebuild and compile the CDP2Qt package by following the instructions on page 7
Start Qt Designer and check that the CDP widgets appear in the gallery on the left side
